Churchill Corporation
was founded in 1948 as Churchill Lighting Corporation, a
manufacturer of light fixtures. In the early 1950's, the
company realized the increasing pressures to mass produce
and decided to change its business radically by focusing
on the manufacture of higher tolerance, higher quality products
in the growing aviation field, specifically the area of
aviation electronics (avionics). Located about 15 minutes
north of Boston, Churchill is a family-owned business
that designs and fabricates "black box" enclosures
(also known as ATR
boxes) for avionics OEM's and aircraft manufacturers.
Today, Churchill maintains this business focus by supplying
standard and customized avionics enclosures and related
products.
Churchill Corporation has worked closely
in the development of ARINC 404 and ARINC 600 and continues
to play a key role in the promotion of standard avionics
enclosures. With over 45 years experience, Churchill is
a design and manufacturing company that focuses on producing
high quality, affordable avionics enclosures and related
components for aerospace companies worldwide.
